Forgive me but I am proud of this one particular achievement.
It took me a long time to get here and now I am staying here for a while before I go even further.

UNJJ Annual Course & Competition
Gibraltar October 2008.
What a fabulous weekend was had by all.
We were invited to the welcoming drinks and eats at the new sports centre by Sensei Anthony Joaquin.
The Minister for Sport for Gibraltar Fabian Vinet was on hand to welcome us to Gibraltar and also thanked us for taking part in this event.
The course was held in the new Sprts Centre which really is a very nice sports centre and has facilities to cope with almost any sporting event.
The welcoming evening gave all of us the opportunity to meet up with old friends and to make new ones too.
On the Saturday we had a brilliant opening ceremony with dancers and entertainment from local bands and scout groups.
The course was held in the large hall with tiered seating for spectators.
With officials there from UNJJ, BJJA GB, and Senior Sensei and instructors from across the globe it was a truly excellent event.
As students I am sure we all enjoyed the course and most of us are still trying to remember just some of what was demonstrated to us.
I for one am looking forward to the next event.....
